My academic background stretches over different fields. I hold a BSc. in Computer Science with a minor in Business Administration, as well as a MSc. in Mathematics and its Applications geared towards Machine Learning which I have recently completed in June 2020. I have also had the chance to study abroad through an exchange Semester in the University of San Diego back in 2014, and a summer session before that in 2013 at the Technical University of Munich.
Experience
Tutoring is extremely important as it helps the student transcend their weaknesses, and possibly fathom the beauty of a topic that they might have initially perceived as obscure. I believe I can offer my tutees the right blend of enthusiasm, student service, and international experience. As a tutor, I would strive to bring a cheerful and practical approach to the position. Some topics can seem tedious and dreary; I know first-hand how difficult understanding some concepts can be without the assistance of competent and lively teachers/tutors. My own educational experience has proved to be challenging emotionally and academically at times and I am actively aware of the many challenges that students might face. Experience: I have volunteered as a French, and math tutor in schools in the Ifrane area in Morocco, and taught English in Sorocaba, Brazil and in Covilha, Portugal. I got to work with kids aged from 4 years old to young adults. These experiences have enabled me to learn and develop different teaching methods, as well as tailor them to meet individual students’ needs. For instance, some students understand better mathematical functions when described as factories where the raw material/input is transformed into the final product/output. Meanwhile, other students easily comprehend them through graphical representations.

Hobbies
I throroughly enjoy the outdoors: hiking and biking with friends. During the week, I also consistently practice power yoga. My hobbies also include embroidery which I have only recently gotten into. Tangent to these activities, I like learning languages; I am currently working on my Hungarian. In addition to these, I am also a big fan of books and podcasts which I consume regularly.
