Experience
I have had 2 years long working experience as European Voluntary Service mentor, during which I was organizing and teaching English classes to European service volunteers. This experience has made me well familiar in teaching English to learners from different socio-cultural backgrounds. Moreover, during my Bachelor studies, I was giving private lessons for children, from various ages. I make sure that my lessons are learner-centred and my students are active during the lessons and engaged, because learners learn better by doing things. I help my students to set their goals, so that they understand how the lesson content relates to their goals. On this way they are more enthusiastic when understand how the lessons are helping them. Additionally, to this I use variety of materials and activities to personalize lessons. I tend to get to know my student’s interests, needs and goals, so I could plan the lessons to relate to them. I prepare my students with study skills to become independent learners, by giving them the necessary knowledge to be able to use and practice their English independently. I do motivate my students to focus on all skill areas (reading, writing, speaking, listening) as well grammar and vocabulary, so they develop across various language fields.
